Biography

Research Professor and Director of the Organic Molecular Analysis Laboratory at the University of Connecticut's Center for Environmental Science and Engineering. An organic analytical chemist with more than 18 years in academia and over 8 years of research experience at Pfizer. Born and raised in Alexandroupoli, he earned his degree in chemistry from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki before pursuing doctoral studies in the United States. He maintains strong ties to the local community and the wider Thrace region. Through the UConn–DUTh collaboration, he seeks to contribute his expertise to joint research, education, and environmental protection initiatives, supporting the region's sustainable development as its role as an energy and transportation hub expands.
